Creation of a Logo!
I thought it might be of interest to show you how my very special ART from SPIRIT logo came together!
Before I even start with the explanation of how my logo was created, I will begin with the word PATIENCE!!! When something is not ready to come together, IT DOES NOT WANT TO COME TOGETHER, no matter how much you want it too!!!!
My logo was more than a month in the making. I created the first 2 paintings ready to put together. Then things just kept going wrong or not looking right. I knew it felt forced but continued to try, yup silly me. Instead later when I needed it. It just came together, just like that!
Different elements were layered together to create the final logo, I'm not sure about you but I love the end result :D
Colours
Purple
I gravitate toward purple and wear a lot of purple. When reading about some of the symbolism of purple; magic, spirituality and creativity are included (all subjects I love!).
Yellow/Gold
When I picture myself as a child or connect within to my power centre I feel golden light radiating out. When reading about some of the symbolism of yellow; happiness, warmth, clarity and optimism are included (these are feelings I want to share and spread to others).
When I feel myself in terms of colours I am purple with a golden centre. So naturally these were the main colours to use to create my logo!
Symbols
The Spiral
I wanted to include a spiral in my logo, as my journey has and continues to have moments where I go around in circles (yes even sometimes literately!!!). Think of the spiral not as a flat shape but as continually progressing upward.
Though I am sent round and round I am always progressing even if the incline is only slight. Each time I come around I have acquired more wisdom and experience, building on that which came before.
The spiral is a wonderful symbol to include as I feel it symbolises one of the messages ART from SPIRIT shares, to continue progressing learning and growing from previous experiences.
The 'M'
Though I'm sure this symbol has many other meanings, when it first appeared in one of my artworks I felt like it represented mountain peaks. When I searched for the meaning/symbolism of mountain peaks words like triumph, overcoming challenges and attainment were mentioned.
These words resonated with me, I felt like after so much time feeling like I was climbing and clawing my way up the mountain I had reached the top, I was overcoming my challenges, becoming the one in control once more.
As you can imagine this was an emotional experience and ART from SPIRIT is evidence for me that I have been triumphant. Yes there are other mountains to climb but I now know that I have the strength and the courage to do so.
The Sphere
All is then enclosed in a sphere. I felt the radiating power of the sun and the circular full moon, the strength and continual movement no beginning or end.
There you have it, the coming together of a logo!
I would love to hear your comments about my logo and the different elements included!
